Common Questions
What is gelato?
Gelato is the Italian word for ice cream – but it’s different to ice cream in a few important ways. Firstly, it has less butter fat, and usually less sugar, so often it’s a healthier alternative. It’s also less aerated, and in the case of our product, has a greater focus on natural ingredient.
What is sorbet?
Sorbets are a type of gelato that is dairy free – and in the case of our product, also vegan. Usually our sorbets are made with fruit, giving them a fresh taste and smooth flavour. Occasionally though we do make flavours like chocolate mousse sorbet or even coconut sorbet, which uses coconut milk or sometimes soy milk as the base.
Do you serve anything other than gelato?
Yes! We serve a range of hot and cold drinks, and we also make great toasties!
Which flavour is the most popular?
Chocolate, vanilla and burnt caramel (of course). Not everyone is adventurous when it comes to their flavour choices, especially not kids. Having said that, our stewed plum with cinnamon and cloves is always a big seller, and so is our persian date – which works great as an affogato!
